The London Daily Mail: A respected archaeologist said pilgrims have been taking the wrong route as they “retrace” the path of Jesus to the site of his crucifixion.

If true, I don’t think Jesus deducts points from anyone.

He’s in the forgiving business.

And He knows they meant well.

But still, pilgrims should strive for accuracy and the path pilgrims have chosen is in error said Shimon Gibson, whom the London newspaper described as a Holy Land specialist.

They take the northern path.

He said they should take the southern path. All the points along his path match the Gospel of John, he said.

“The astonishing thing is that thousands of Christian travelers and pilgrims pass by this site without realizing its significance,” Gibson said.

Why not walk both paths just to be safe?

The story is here.
